Week 54 - C's baptism!

This week was pretty good! It was kinda slow to begin with but it turned out great with a baptism! The adversary was working hard on C. She called us Saturday morning and told us she wasn't feeling good and wasn't sure if she wanted to do it. But we reassured her and she went through with it. Sadly, nobody from her family came to her baptism or confirmation and there was little support from the branch with only about 6 members there. But she got baptized, and then afterwards we had a branch multi-cultural activity and it was great! 

A. and his white girlfriend, and her friend A. all came to church yesterday! We have been teaching them for a couple weeks now and they have a lot of potential. S. said she wants to get baptized so we set a date for Oct 31 (Halloween!). The only problem is that she and A. will have to get married first since they are living together. But we told them about temple marriage and they seemed really excited about that. So they said they're willing to get married in order to be baptized. They seem really prepared and ready to accept this message and enter into a covenant with our Heavenly Father.

We've been having a rough time having the presence of the spirit in our lessons lately. It seems we're doing everything right and everything we need to do but for the past few days it seems like we haven't had the Spirit in our lessons. We're not sure what the reason is, but we're trying hard to resolve it.
